Business Manager is a tool designed to be your primary hub on Facebook for managing all of your Facebook Pages and ad accounts.
To open a Facebook Business Manager account, you must first sign up for a personal Facebook account.
To add a Facebook Page to your Business Manager, go to the Business Manager home page, click More Tools in the sidebar, and select Business Settings.
Select the one that applies to you and follow the instructions, and your Facebook page should be added to your Business Manager.

Finally, you’ll want to create or add a Facebook ad account linked to your business account.
Start from the business settings screen of your Business Manager. Click Ad Accounts in the Accounts section of the sidebar.
From the drop-down menu, you can choose to add an ad account (an existing account you’ve already opened), request access to an ad account, or create a new ad account.
Before we get into setting up your Business Manager, it’s important to assign roles to your Business Manager account. Users can assume one of two main roles: Admin and Employee.

Facebook ad accounts also have different roles that you can manage and edit in Business Manager.
It’s time to add your payment method so you can continue creating your Facebook ad campaign.
Go to the Payment Settings page by clicking on Ad Account Settings and selecting Payment Settings in the sidebar.
As you start to advertise more, we suggest adding a secondary payment method. This prevents Facebook from stopping all of your campaigns if your primary card expires, reaches its monthly limit, or is blocked for any other reason.

If you want to make changes to your Facebook ad payments, you can do so on the same page by clicking the three dots next to the payment option and selecting Edit.
You cannot delete your primary source, so you must create another option for your primary source before removing your current primary payment method.
Facebook billing is determined by how you pay for your ads. Many payment options fall into two camps:
How To Create Your Facebook Business Manager Account
Manual payments are essentially pay-as-you-go and are relatively easy to understand as you are charged each day for what you spend on ads that day.
The billing threshold amount varies depending on your billing history. When you start, this limit is very low (usually $25) and you will be charged every time you spend $25 on Facebook ads. As you continue to spend and process your payments correctly, your limit will automatically increase.
If you still have a balance at the end of the month but haven’t reached your billing threshold, you’ll be charged that amount to settle your balance at the beginning of the month.
You can control your total ad spend by setting spending limits in your ad account. Your ads will pause when you reach the limit you set and won’t run again until you increase or remove that limit.
Setting Up Your Facebook Ad Account In Business Manager
Ad account spending limits are especially useful when working with agencies, when you want to make sure that your consultant or agency can’t spend more than you budgeted on all of your campaigns. Don’t set it too low or you’ll have to update it frequently. Please note that every time the limit is reached, all your accounts will be suspended for at least 15 minutes.
Like it or not, your Facebook advertising account has certain limitations. It is better to know them from the beginning.
When you reach any of these limits, all you have to do is delete the old campaigns and their ads to make room for the new ones.
Facebook notifications are a great way to stay in touch with your campaigns. However, they can also fill up your inbox quickly, so you can adjust the frequency of email notifications you receive from Facebook to suit your needs.

Set up your notifications so that you receive the most important notifications via email, and the others are just Facebook notifications that appear when you log into your Business Manager. That way, you won’t miss anything when it comes to your Facebook ads.
After you’ve been creating ads for a while, you may want to partner with another person, such as a freelancer, ad agency, or employee. This is where roles come into play. If you want to add new users and administrators to your Facebook ad account, go to the ad account tab on your ad account settings page.
Click Add People, then enter the name of the person you want to add and the role you’ll assign them.

If you have a Facebook page, you are undoubtedly giving permission to other people to create posts and ads on our behalf. What you may not have heard of are Business Manager Accounts (or Business Advertising Accounts). On the surface, BMA may seem like a more complicated way to manage your Facebook page. Although it can be more complicated, it has some significant advantages.
I have your attention now, you’re still reading this, right? A basic BMA setup can help you get:
Go to business.facebook.com where you will be prompted to “Create an Account” using the light blue button in the top right corner of your browser window. The first thing you need to do is enter your business name, name and business email address. The latter may seem trivial or boring, but it will serve you well in the long run by splitting your Facebook notifications into personal and business emails. This will go into your personal account settings, which is especially worthwhile if you manage more than a few sites.

You must then add your business information (address, website, phone number, business use of this BMA). If the pages you manage are your own, choose the first option (“Promote your own goods or services.”), and if you want to manage other pages or place ads for other pages, you’ll want to choose the second option.
Before you can do anything, you must add a default page to this BMA. For most of you, this will be your main business page. Go ahead and click on “Business Settings” and click on “Pages” under the “Accounts” heading in the left navigation. Click the big blue “+ Add” button and start typing the default page name. If you already have permission to manage this page, this page will automatically be added to your BMA. If not, your request will need to be approved by the site administrator.
From here, if you’re the only site manager, you can add a partner like Bluefish or go straight to adding your business ad. When adding a partner or individual to your BMA, choose their permission level wisely. BMA Administrator has the same permissions as “Owner/Creator”. As I mentioned at the beginning of this article, you can share an ad account, and to protect yourself you can set a maximum spending limit on that account (which can be reset when you’re ready to spend more on ads). To give a partner access to your ad account, you can enter their BMA# or create a link that can be sent to a representative.
